A Stunning Blue-and-White Intimate Wedding

“This intimate wedding was all about the love for one another, the love for their families, and all the meaningful and personal details to make it truly their day - and a day to remember.

Engaged during the summer of 2020,  this beautiful couple chose to marry only a few months later - why wait? they said. Working in a palette of classic blue and white, much detail went into sourcing the perfect accompaniments. The china, a classic white with small blue bows around the plate rim, was sourced by the bride. The napkins were embroidered with the couple's monogram by the bride herself, as were sweet handkerchiefs given to each of the guests.

As a floral designer for small, intimate weddings, personal and meaningful details play a large part in not only the flowers, but also the tablescape I design. When I first learned of this classic blue and white palette, I knew the metallic accent had to be silver.  I already had a collection of sterling silver candlesticks and small silver vessels. I spent time sourcing mini vintage blue and white ginger jars and trinket boxes, and blue etched glass votive holders, which perfectly accented the table. For this wedding and any other, I put in great effort to make sure the details are always meaningful and perfect.

Each lush compote centerpiece was created with white garden roses, white ranunculus, and delicate greenery such as geranium and white tweedia - each placed just right so as to not block conversation across the table.

The flowers were everywhere. Did I mention the bride asked me for her very own Father of the Bride moment? From the front porch, to the stair railing and both fireplaces in their home, to the gorgeous and lush ceremony arch - my team and I made sure there were flowers at every turn.”
